The Subculture Soundsystem Crew will not only bring their own Soundsystem to the City Club on April 25, 2026, but also some amazing guests who will join us in shaping the “Subculture Soundsystem Club Night.”

We’ll kick off the evening with a live concert by La Lucia & Mona Mi, a rap duo from Munich that emerged in 2021 from the former hip-hop collective “ATP CREW.” Their German and Spanish lyrics often critique patriarchal structures, life in a wealthy and heavily gentrified metropolis, performance pressure, and repression. Interwoven are themes of longing, fears, and reflections on utopia, love, self-love, death, and true freedom. Musically, the project moves between boom-bap/90s beats, trip-hop, and grime.

Layla Carter aka MC Layla, home in the worlds of jazz and bass music, will accompany the whole session on the microphone. Whether it’s Dub, DnB, Jungle, or Grime, she creates her own version of each track and captivates the crowd with her soulful voice, always focusing on a positive atmosphere on the dancefloor and meaningful lyrics.

The club session then offers a journey through all corners of UK bass music. With crashing hi-hats from classic jungle tunes, roaring basslines from the world of dubstep, gritty grime lyrics, and energetic drum & bass, there’s plenty of bass culture, variety, and energy guaranteed. The handcrafted 4-scoop system of the Augsburg located crew will provide the necessary low-end power.
